Media Feature | “Spirits Beyond Spirits” at FORM WITHOUT FORM
As part of the FORM WITHOUT FORM exhibition in Shanghai, the Spirits Beyond Spirits salon brought together poetry, Xiao music and reflections on Chinese literati traditions.
On 26 June 2026, FORM WITHOUT FORM at HKRI Taikoo Hui W103 in Shanghai hosted Spirits Beyond Spirits, an evening salon bringing together poetry, Xiao music, and reflections on Chinese literati culture.
CN Sjkee published an online feature on the event, highlighting a performance by musician Wang Ze, whose Xiao repertoire included Three Variations on the Plum Blossom and Repetitions of Yang Guan Tune. The evening also featured original poetic works by Prof. Joseph Tham, including Drinking Wine No. 5 and Song of the Frontier.
The feature explores how poetry, music, and shared cultural experience created a contemplative dialogue with the central theme of FORM WITHOUT FORM.
Through reflections on classical poetry, wine, qi, and artistic spontaneity, the salon invited participants to encounter Chinese artistic traditions through sound, words, and collective experience.
Spirits Beyond Spirits formed part of the public programme accompanying FORM WITHOUT FORM, presented by Triune Harmony, NONAME STUDIO, and 768 Gallery in Shanghai.

中華設計網《醉靈歡樂時光》活動專題
2026年6月26日，上海興業太古匯 W103 的 《大象無形》（FORM WITHOUT FORM） 展覽舉辦「醉靈歡樂時光（Spirits Beyond Spirits）」沙龍，以詩歌、簫樂及中國文人文化為線索，展開一場關於藝術與精神世界的交流。
中華設計網其後刊載活動專題，介紹音樂家王澤的簫樂演奏，其中包括《梅花三弄》及《陽關三疊》，亦記錄譚傑志教授於活動中分享《飲酒·其五》及《邊塞之歌》等原創詩作。
文章從詩歌、音樂與共同文化體驗出發，探討活動如何呼應《大象無形》的核心主題。透過古典詩意、酒文化、「氣」與藝術自然流動等元素，「醉靈歡樂時光」讓參與者從聲音、文字及現場交流之中，感受中國藝術傳統所蘊含的精神與哲思。
