“Seeking the meaning of life, Encountering Christ” – that is the heart of every pilgrimage organized by Regnum Christi Hong Kong. A pilgrimage is not merely a trip to see historical sites or heritages at the destinations; it is a spiritual journey diving deep into the centre where one seeks meaning in life and ultimately.
This year, our pilgrimage combines historical reflection with spiritual reflection, focusing on the themes of anti-nuclear arms advocacy, remembrance of World War II, and urgent prayers and penance to restore peace, which is the key message given at Our Lady of Akita’s apparition to Sister Agnes Katsuko Sasagawa in 1973.
Date: Oct 16-23, 2026 (8 days/7 nights)
Itinerary:
Day 1 Arrival at Fukuoka, to Hiroshima by coach
Day 2 Hiroshima, Miyajima
Day 3 Hiroshima to Akita by two shinkansen
Day 4 Akita (or Akita retreat)
Day 5 Akita to Yamagata (for hiking)
Day 6 Yamagata retreat, Tsuruoka church
Day 7 Yamagata to Omiya
Day 8 Tokyo (Kanda Church) leave for HK

• Our 2026 destination will be France, the "eldest daughter of the church", with Catholicism rooted deeply since the second century.
• We hope everyone can have a deep, profound spiritual journey through visiting renowned Catholic sanctuaries and heritage sites, most notably the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine, including the Apparition Grotto in Lourdes; the Basilica of St. Thérèse in Lisieux; the Miraculous Medal Shrine in Paris; the historic Mont-Saint-Michel; and not to miss, the recently restored Notre Dame de Paris Cathedral.
• Will also find time for a silent day retreat to renew and re-kindle our Faith, Hope and Love in Christ.
